    The Hearing Loss Tech Expo Was a Great Success.

    The Hearing Loss Association of America, California State Association (HLAA-CA) hosted a hearing loss tech expo on Saturday, October 8, 2016, 1-5 PM, in Belmont, California. Exhibitors demonstrated their latest products and services for people with hearing loss. Attendance was free and open to the public. HLAA members, people with hearing loss, their families, and their friends attended the expo. Seven sponsor-paid $50 Target store gift cards and various prizes were awarded to attendees whose names were drawn in a free raffle. Complimentary reusable attendee tote bags stuffed with valuable information and prizes were also given to attendees. Complimentary refreshments, cookies, and fruits were served. Attendees enjoyed learning about the hearing loss products and services while networking with other people with hearing loss, their families, and friends. An ASL interpreter was provided for those who needed ASL support. The expo was held at the Sports Complex & Conference Center, 550 Island Parkway, Belmont, California 94002.

    More than 180 people attended the expo (excluding exhibitors staff); of these attendees, more than 100 attendees had preregistered online before the expo and more than 80 attendees registered at the expo.
