Noni Smyth, president of the HLAA Central Coast Chapter, was bestowed the Hamilton Relay Better Hearing and Speech Month Recognition Award for the State of California on Saturday, September 23, 2017.
The HLAA Central Coast Chapter steering committee nominated Noni based on her activity as founder of HLAA Central Coast Chapter and her work with Soroptimist International, Volunteer Woods Humane Society, Ambassador Dogs for the Deaf, and Elks Lodge, San Luis Obispo.
Abigail Mebrahtu, State Outreach Coordinator from Hamilton Relay, went to San Luis Obispo to make the presentation (and brought a ton of goodies with her!).
Congratulations and well deserved!
Noni’s hearing dog, Glitter, is also shown in the photo — Glitter always accompanies Noni to meetings.
