• Young Adults with Hearing Loss

Are you between the ages of 18-35 and have hearing loss? Currently, there are initiatives being developed by young adults within HLAA to expand HLAA’s outreach to young adults with hearing loss. Within HLAA, there is:

The Walk4Hearing is one of the biggest fundraisers for HLAA in addition to bringing visibility to people with hearing loss.  HEAR YA NOW was formed for the Long Beach walk in 2009, and the team consisted of over 40 hard of hearing, deaf, and hearing high school, college, and working age adults who raised over $2500. HEAR YA NOW is not a registered chapter of HLAA, but rather a network of young adults in California ages 18-40 with the aim to unite young adults with hearing loss through social events and an online community where information is exchanged about resources, support, advocacy and scholarship opportunities.
